Most confusion in the software license market comes from vague wording. This page explains, in plain terms, what the different license types actually are, what you can rely on, and what our position is. It states only what we can support.
Our relationship with Microsoft

FAHYMAS LLC is an independent Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Indirect Reseller with Active reseller status in Microsoft Partner Center. Fahymas Licensing is independently owned and operated and is not owned, operated, sponsored, or endorsed by Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft, Windows, Microsoft 365, Office, Project, Visio, and related names and logos are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. We link to Microsoft’s own partner directory rather than displaying a badge or seal of our own making, so the relationship can be checked at source. If that changes, this page will state the exact status granted, which products it covers, which regions it applies to, and the dates it is valid, and nothing beyond that.

FAHYMAS LLC is registered with Microsoft as an authorized Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Indirect Reseller. The company’s Microsoft Partner Center business profile has been verified by Microsoft.

This authorization is held and maintained within Microsoft Partner Center. The public Marketplace profile is an additional Microsoft-hosted verification point rather than the source of the reseller authorization itself. FAHYMAS LLC is independently owned and operated and is not owned, operated, sponsored, or endorsed by Microsoft Corporation.
Microsoft CSP reseller authorization
FAHYMAS LLC participates in Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider program as an authorized CSP Indirect Reseller. The company’s Microsoft Partner Center reseller account records a verification status of Authorized and an Indirect Reseller status of Active.
That authorization is held and maintained directly within Microsoft Partner Center. FAHYMAS LLC also maintains a public Microsoft Marketplace partner profile, which customers and compliance teams can view independently on a Microsoft-hosted page. The Marketplace profile is a supporting verification point; it is not by itself the source of the reseller authorization.

What this status covers, and what it does not
CSP Indirect Reseller status is a company-level authorization covering Microsoft cloud services transacted through the CSP program. It is separate from the sourcing of any individual product on this site. Each product page states its own license type, edition, term, device and user limits, and activation method, and those product-level statements are not extended or altered by the company’s CSP status.
FAHYMAS LLC is independently owned and operated. Microsoft does not own, operate, sponsor, or endorse Fahymas Licensing.
Compliance verification
For banks, payment processors, enterprise customers, or compliance departments requiring additional verification, FAHYMAS LLC can provide supporting Microsoft Partner Center documentation confirming its Authorized reseller verification status and Active CSP Indirect Reseller status. License types explained
Perpetual license
A perpetual license lets you use a specific version of the software indefinitely. It does not expire and there is no recurring fee. What it does not include is upgrades to future versions, or support for the product after the manufacturer’s own support period ends. Microsoft Office 2021 and Office 2024 are perpetual products.
We say perpetual rather than lifetime. Lifetime is a marketing word that does not describe anything you can rely on, and it is often used to imply upgrades and support that are not actually included.
Subscription
A subscription grants use for a fixed term, normally 12 months, and includes updates during that term. Microsoft 365 is a subscription. When the term ends and is not renewed, the applications enter a reduced-functionality state until the subscription is renewed. Subscriptions are managed in your Microsoft account, not by us.
Digital license for an operating system
A Windows license permits activation of one specified edition on one device. A Windows 11 Pro license will not activate Windows 11 Home, and the reverse is also true. Editions are not interchangeable.
What determines whether a license works

| Microsoft account | Some products must be redeemed to a Microsoft account and stay attached to it. The product page says whether this applies. |
Activation
Activation is performed by the manufacturer’s systems, not by us. We supply the license information; Microsoft’s activation service decides whether it is valid for your installation. This is why edition and system requirements matter so much, and why we publish them prominently rather than in small print.

Downloads come from the manufacturer
We direct customers to official Microsoft download sources only. We do not supply modified installers, activation utilities, loaders, or patching tools of any kind, and you should not use them. Software from unofficial sources may be altered, and using such tools does not resolve a licensing problem.
Wording we avoid
We do not use these terms, because each one either overstates what is being sold or cannot be verified:
- Lifetime key, lifetime activation, or permanent forever
- Unlimited license
- 100% genuine guaranteed, or guaranteed forever
- Official Microsoft product, where that implies we are an official channel
- Global key, where regional restrictions actually apply
Instead we describe the specific thing being sold, for example a perpetual license for one PC, or a 12-month subscription for one user.
Refunds and licenses
A license key cannot be recovered once it has been disclosed to you and redeemed, which is why refund rules for software differ from those for physical goods. The full position, including the cases where we always refund, is set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Support
If a license does not activate, contact us with your order number and the exact error code before doing anything else. Most failures are an edition mismatch or a typing error and are resolved quickly. Contact details are on our Contact and Support page.
